Requests for Youre beautiful season 2 havent stopped

Up til now, there hasnt been any proper talk about a season 2. There are alot of people who want a 2nd season and I also think that 16 episodes passed by too quickly. If i'm given a chance, I want to be in the 2nd season too.

It seems that there are lots of regrets because it went head to head with IRIS.

I was at a loss at the beginning because the ratings were not as good as I thought they would be but there was nothing like dissatisfaction. Instead amongst criticism, i felt grateful towards the crew and my younger coactors that we were able keep the ratings at 2 digits

Seems that you are like Hwang tae kyung in real life as well - a bit picky (& hard to deal with)

I do have a perfectionist side to me like hwang tae kyung. But i'm not self centred. But living as tae kyung, i realised that I am a little like him. From now i need to hurry and leave tae kyung behind because I need to take up other roles.

I've heard that you've been receiving alot of role offers

There have been alot of scripts which have been sent to us and I've split them between me and my manager to read. We will slowly consider the next project. Actually I had wanted to try a romantic comedy like You're beautiful. If a chace arises next time I want to try a romantic comedy one more time. I think a love story about an older girl and a younger guy would be great.

In the drama, you had kissing scenes with Park Shin Hye and UEE

I've shot a kissing scene before with shin hye before in a cosmetic cf before. That time it was a deep kiss so this time during the drama, it seems like there wasnt any pressure. But I was a bit afraid of the kissing scene with UEE. There are alot of guys out there who admire her, so I worried about being hit. So with UEE, we filmed it without NG. Hahahha

This drama had alot of newcomers. It seems that you had a hard time as the eldest.

This was something that happened at the ending party. The director was drunk and said to Hong gi "Geun Suk had opposed the casting". But after the ending party, Hong gi said to the producers "If anything, because of Geun suk hyung, I was able to act with more responsibility" Because of my younger co-actors who were so wellmannered likle hong gi, I was able to act more comfortably.

In the movie 'The case of the itaewon Homicide", you showed impressive acting. It seems that you were expecting something from the Blue dragon awards

I dont feel regretful because I wasnt nominated at this year's blue dragon film awards. I'm only 23 by korean age and next year i will be 24. I think that at my age, the important thing is the process and not the result. The blue dragon film awards are held every year so i believe that one day i will be able to get an award.

You've debuted for 13 years but you havent had any scandals

I also think i havent had any scandals. Why? (Park Shin Hye- jang geun suk got No1 in a poll "Which drama couple would u like to see dating in real life") It seems that there wont be any rumours about me dating Shin hye later on. (Jokingly) I dont know about marriage rumours though. Hahaha. My mum says that Shin hye is prosperous looking and likes her alot because we are compatible for marriage (via fortunetelling). It seems that my mum knows Shin hye's age and zodiac sign and went to have to checked out by a fortuneteller.

Female fans are curious about jang Geun Suk's ideal girl

I still believe in love at first sight. I was attracted to the girlfriends I've had in the past when I first laid my eyes on them. but It seems i change my ideal girl every year. Last year it was Han Hye Jin but lately I like someone like Soo Ae. Even though I seem to be an open guy, i'm actually quite conservative. That's why i like feminine girls.

Q: There is a controversy on your height. What is your actual height and weight?

A: It is 182 cm. People are surprised when they see me outside of TV because I look taller outside of TV. From filming of You’re Beautiful, my weight dropped to 62kgs.

Q: Do you think about debuting as a singer?

A: No. I like music but I feel that doing music as part of a drama is enough. However, some actors are active in Japan with their own albums. I might think about releasing an album in Japan.

Q: Scandal with Kim Yuna? Gay theory?

A: I never met with Kim Yuna. And I like women. (smile)

Q: Who is more of your type, between Park Shin-Hae and After School Yui?

A: It is Chae-Ran (actress who played aunt of Park Shin-Hae). Haha.

Q: When would you start your military service?

A: According to my physical, I will be serving in a regular army. However, since I am young, I don’t think I am going to army anytime soon.

Q: How are you attending your college (his major is in acting)?

A: I used to always attend classes in Monday and Tuesday. However, since You’re Beautiful started, I had to skip some classes. My professors told me to take the final so I am planning to do so.

Q: What does school mean to Jang Geun-Suk?

A: As an entertainer, it is hard to make friends around my age. School is the only place that I could make friends who are around my age and can understand me.

[News] Samsung fansigning event features Jang Geun-seok

Oy. On the heels of that handsome, newly released Tae-kyung-inspired photo (and the one from the more sartorially questionable Japanese fanmeeting), we’ve got super-cutie Jang Geun-seok once again delving into his wardrobe o’ whimsy for this lovely new look, which he donned for a fansigning event on December 5. It took place in Seoul at the newly opened first store for Samsung Mobile.

So how do you know if Jang Geun-seok dressed himself for an event? If he comes looking like Snape, that’s a pretty big clue. Pale skin, greasy hair, stifling black wardrobe… If he’s wearing a (p)leathery-looking women’s suit snazzed up with roadkill, that’s another sign. Or if he’s dressed as some kind of ’80s-inspired mage apprentice. Or as an punk-rawk vampire. Or a rocker drag queen. Or a fresh-faced and wholesome-looking ajumma.

It makes me miss the days when he was trying to go over-the-top butch, perhaps to counter his naturally pretty looks. Most of all, I miss when he wasn’t trying so hard to be anything in particular and looked very cute just as himself.

Just a while ago, we reported about SNSD and Super Junior attending the 1st Melon Music Awards on the 16th. Well, the MC for the ceremony has been revealed, and it's none other than 'You're Beautiful's' Jang Geun Suk!

[News] Jang Keun Suk buried in drama offers

In any case, it comes as no surprise that Jang Keun Suk, coming off his very popular role in the recently ended You’re Beautiful, is now being met with a landslide of job offers. (He’d already been approached for numerous CF offers while the drama was early in its run.) After heading to Japan last week for a recent fanmeeting, Jang is settling down to select his next project. He’s facing a happy dilemma as he looks over the scripts that came in while he was shooting the drama; currently, he is entertaining twenty different offers for movie and drama roles. His management said, “Starting while he was still filming, casting proposals have been pouring in. Synopses and scripts are piled on his desk like a small mountain. He hasn’t decided yet whether his next project will be a movie or a drama.”

You’re Beautiful’s popularity didn’t necessarily shoot him to stardom, since Jang was already a well-known actor when he took the role — he has about a dozen other projects on his resumé — but I will say that it produced his most memorable character. The drama may not have had the highest ratings but it generated a lot of buzz, and firmly established his place as one of the most promising young actors of his generation, who commands name recognition and a solid domestic and overseas fanbase.
