Requests for Youre beautiful season 2 havent stopped

Up til now, there hasnt been any proper talk about a season 2. There are alot of people who want a 2nd season and I also think that 16 episodes passed by too quickly. If i'm given a chance, I want to be in the 2nd season too.

It seems that there are lots of regrets because it went head to head with IRIS.

I was at a loss at the beginning because the ratings were not as good as I thought they would be but there was nothing like dissatisfaction. Instead amongst criticism, i felt grateful towards the crew and my younger coactors that we were able keep the ratings at 2 digits

Seems that you are like Hwang tae kyung in real life as well - a bit picky (& hard to deal with)

I do have a perfectionist side to me like hwang tae kyung. But i'm not self centred. But living as tae kyung, i realised that I am a little like him. From now i need to hurry and leave tae kyung behind because I need to take up other roles.

I've heard that you've been receiving alot of role offers

There have been alot of scripts which have been sent to us and I've split them between me and my manager to read. We will slowly consider the next project. Actually I had wanted to try a romantic comedy like You're beautiful. If a chace arises next time I want to try a romantic comedy one more time. I think a love story about an older girl and a younger guy would be great.

In the drama, you had kissing scenes with Park Shin Hye and UEE

I've shot a kissing scene before with shin hye before in a cosmetic cf before. That time it was a deep kiss so this time during the drama, it seems like there wasnt any pressure. But I was a bit afraid of the kissing scene with UEE. There are alot of guys out there who admire her, so I worried about being hit. So with UEE, we filmed it without NG. Hahahha

This drama had alot of newcomers. It seems that you had a hard time as the eldest.

This was something that happened at the ending party. The director was drunk and said to Hong gi "Geun Suk had opposed the casting". But after the ending party, Hong gi said to the producers "If anything, because of Geun suk hyung, I was able to act with more responsibility" Because of my younger co-actors who were so wellmannered likle hong gi, I was able to act more comfortably.

In the movie 'The case of the itaewon Homicide", you showed impressive acting. It seems that you were expecting something from the Blue dragon awards

I dont feel regretful because I wasnt nominated at this year's blue dragon film awards. I'm only 23 by korean age and next year i will be 24. I think that at my age, the important thing is the process and not the result. The blue dragon film awards are held every year so i believe that one day i will be able to get an award.

You've debuted for 13 years but you havent had any scandals

I also think i havent had any scandals. Why? (Park Shin Hye- jang geun suk got No1 in a poll "Which drama couple would u like to see dating in real life") It seems that there wont be any rumours about me dating Shin hye later on. (Jokingly) I dont know about marriage rumours though. Hahaha. My mum says that Shin hye is prosperous looking and likes her alot because we are compatible for marriage (via fortunetelling). It seems that my mum knows Shin hye's age and zodiac sign and went to have to checked out by a fortuneteller.

Female fans are curious about jang Geun Suk's ideal girl

I still believe in love at first sight. I was attracted to the girlfriends I've had in the past when I first laid my eyes on them. but It seems i change my ideal girl every year. Last year it was Han Hye Jin but lately I like someone like Soo Ae. Even though I seem to be an open guy, i'm actually quite conservative. That's why i like feminine girls.

Q: There is a controversy on your height. What is your actual height and weight?

A: It is 182 cm. People are surprised when they see me outside of TV because I look taller outside of TV. From filming of You’re Beautiful, my weight dropped to 62kgs.

Q: Do you think about debuting as a singer?

A: No. I like music but I feel that doing music as part of a drama is enough. However, some actors are active in Japan with their own albums. I might think about releasing an album in Japan.

Q: Scandal with Kim Yuna? Gay theory?

A: I never met with Kim Yuna. And I like women. (smile)

Q: Who is more of your type, between Park Shin-Hae and After School Yui?

A: It is Chae-Ran (actress who played aunt of Park Shin-Hae). Haha.

Q: When would you start your military service?

A: According to my physical, I will be serving in a regular army. However, since I am young, I don’t think I am going to army anytime soon.

Q: How are you attending your college (his major is in acting)?

A: I used to always attend classes in Monday and Tuesday. However, since You’re Beautiful started, I had to skip some classes. My professors told me to take the final so I am planning to do so.

Q: What does school mean to Jang Geun-Suk?

A: As an entertainer, it is hard to make friends around my age. School is the only place that I could make friends who are around my age and can understand me.

Oy. On the heels of that handsome, newly released Tae-kyung-inspired photo (and the one from the more sartorially questionable Japanese fanmeeting), we’ve got super-cutie Jang Geun-seok once again delving into his wardrobe o’ whimsy for this lovely new look, which he donned for a fansigning event on December 5. It took place in Seoul at the newly opened first store for Samsung Mobile.

So how do you know if Jang Geun-seok dressed himself for an event? If he comes looking like Snape, that’s a pretty big clue. Pale skin, greasy hair, stifling black wardrobe… If he’s wearing a (p)leathery-looking women’s suit snazzed up with roadkill, that’s another sign. Or if he’s dressed as some kind of ’80s-inspired mage apprentice. Or as an punk-rawk vampire. Or a rocker drag queen. Or a fresh-faced and wholesome-looking ajumma.

It makes me miss the days when he was trying to go over-the-top butch, perhaps to counter his naturally pretty looks. Most of all, I miss when he wasn’t trying so hard to be anything in particular and looked very cute just as himself.

[News] Jang Keun Suk buried in drama offers

In any case, it comes as no surprise that Jang Keun Suk, coming off his very popular role in the recently ended You’re Beautiful, is now being met with a landslide of job offers. (He’d already been approached for numerous CF offers while the drama was early in its run.) After heading to Japan last week for a recent fanmeeting, Jang is settling down to select his next project. He’s facing a happy dilemma as he looks over the scripts that came in while he was shooting the drama; currently, he is entertaining twenty different offers for movie and drama roles. His management said, “Starting while he was still filming, casting proposals have been pouring in. Synopses and scripts are piled on his desk like a small mountain. He hasn’t decided yet whether his next project will be a movie or a drama.”

You’re Beautiful’s popularity didn’t necessarily shoot him to stardom, since Jang was already a well-known actor when he took the role — he has about a dozen other projects on his resumé — but I will say that it produced his most memorable character. The drama may not have had the highest ratings but it generated a lot of buzz, and firmly established his place as one of the most promising young actors of his generation, who commands name recognition and a solid domestic and overseas fanbase.

Along with his drama, ‘You’re Beautiful’ ending last month, he had been rushed to Japan for a fan meeting. After coming back to Korea, he claims to be “screaming in happiness” from all the different offers for casting. Not just that, along with the rise of A.N.Jell’s leader, ”Hwang TaeKyung’s” character, he has recently been gaining a large fandom base, which even today is growing.

Starting acting in a young age, Jang Keun Suk participated in more than 10 projects already and successfully maintained the popularity in every project he had worked on. Already confirmed on his acting abilities and the ability to transform into a character, he is known to be receiving more than 20 offers for movies and dramas currently.

Even one drama producer praised Keun Suk for his hard work by saying that Jang Keun Suk is a person that “anyone could trust in to do a good job.” His management recently stated, “Currently, starting from the drama’s filming, Jang Keun Suk has been receiving nonstop casting offers. Because he had to go to Japan right after the filming, there is currently stacks of scripts and synopsis for the movie and drama offers.” In addition they also added that, “Jang Keun Suk is currently taking a break reading through the synopsis and the scripts and checking them carefully and will be choosing his next project. We are not sure if the next project will be a movie or a drama.”

Biography

Jang Keun Suk was born on August 4, 1987 in Danyang County, South Korea. He is the only child in his immediate family. At the early age of six, Keun Suk started to work as a child model. His work as a child model came about by a fortuitous event. When his parents were selling their home, a perspective buyer who came to their house worked as a talent agent. When he saw young Keun Suk at the house, he suggested his parents that Geun-seok work as model.

In 1997, Keun Suk, at the age of ten, made his acting debut in the HBS sitcom "Selling Happiness". He then continued to work in television as a child actor. In middle school, Keun suk came across the music of Japanese pop singer Ken Hirai and Japanese rock band L'Arc-en-Ciel. He was inspired enough by these bands to start learning the Japanese language by himself. He was inspired enough by these bands to start learning the Japanese language by himself. In junior high school, Keun Suk went to school in New Zealand to learn English & Japanese. Because of his studies in New Zealand, he can carry casual conversations in both languages.

Even though Keun Suk wanted to continue his studies in New Zealand, a job offer brought him back to South Korea. Keun-suk landed a role in the popular MBC sitcom "Nonstop 4". After peforming in "Nonstop 4", Keun-Suk fell into a self-perceived slump and didn't think his acting was good enough. He decided then to re-devote himself to becoming a true actor.
In 2005, Geun-seok's portrayal of the president's son in the SBS drama "Lovers in Prague" became a hit and was well regarded by drama fans.

In 2006, Keun Suk made the jump to the big screen in the Japanese horror film "One Missed Call Final." Thanks to his past experience with the Japanese language, Keun Suk was able to communicate with his Japanese co-stars without problems. He also learned sign language for the prior three months in preparation for his role as a deaf boy in "One Missed Call Final". His next role was back on the small screen with the KBS2 historical drama "Hwang Jin-yi." Geun-seok's performance in "Hwang Jin-yi" did gain the attention of many female fans.

In the following year of 2007, Keun Suk was casted in the rock music themed film "The Happy Life." His portrayal of Hyeon-ju in "The Happy Life" allowed Keun Suk to show off his masculine charms, as well as to display his skills as a singer. Keun Sk would go on to play in two more music inspired titles in 2008, with the feature film "Doremifasolasido" and the MBC TV drama "Beethoven Virus."

Keun Suk's next role in the 2009 thriller "The Case of Itaewon Homicide" will mark the first time Keun Suk plays a villain. The film is based on a true story of a murder that occurred at a Burger King restaurant in Itaewon, South Korea. In the same year, another hit drama Kuen Suk stared in is KBS drama "You're Beautiful", in which he acted as the leader of an idol group, A.N.JELL. This drama became an Asia-wide hit on the Internet and firmly established his place as one of the most promising young actors of his generation, who commands name recognition and a solid domestic and overseas fanbase.

[blog] First personal message from me

This is blog/site is getting some traffic these couple of days. First thing first, I want to say thanks to all of you for visiting this site. Really appreicate that.

Before I officially starting constructing this blog, I did seriously consider if I'd better buy a domain and build a SITE, I mean, a real website. But the thing was that I didn't want to give myself too much pressure at this moment. You know, I just started this blog and still have no idea what this blog is going to turn out to be sometime later. Plus, I do have a life. And school can be tough sometime. But I still started blogging without hesitation, because I was very sure that this is something I want to commit.

As you guys can see, all the stuff in this site is and will be in English. I will try my best to translate as much news/info as I can. Yet due to time issue, I will only update lastest news rather than old ones.

Right now, I'm still working on the "the Kuen Suk page". Hopefully I can bring a brand-new KS page with his complete biography, filmography and other info soon. (The current one is just sub par.)

KS: Yeah, after filming "you’re beautiful, I didn't really rest. To keep my words with you guys, I'm here now.

The host: wow~ that's impressive. The tv drama comes to an end with the ending of its filming. That's real Korean style! Today, I want to ask some questions about the tv drama.
What have you been doing after the Japanese fanmeeting last year?"

KS: I have been with school. hehe...In Japan, I'd like to travel around. In January, I came to Japan specifically for hot spring spa. These are the pics taken that time.

The host: Can you tell what the differences between Japanese girls and Korean girls?

KS: Girls are very different from this two countries. Japanese girls have very beautiful eyes, you know, very bright eyes.

The host: What's your major in college

KS: I major in movie and acting.

The host: so how's your school going?

KS: It's going very well.

The host: I was told that many actors in Korea have chosen to go to college. Do they really need to study hard in college?

KS: In my college, you have to study hard. You are required to attend every final to receive the credits. I don't want to "play" in school. (He means he's a very serious student.) My GPA is 3.6 out of 4 or 5.
The host: I heard that there are many "campus couples" in Korea? How do you think of it?

KS: I'd like to have my "campus love". Tell you a secret, I do have girlfriend, at here. *he's pointing to the audience at the same time* (he's so sweet...) I'm not joking. That's the truth.
